Continuously strengthening independent innovation capabilities. In 2018, Zhangwan was approved to establish one provincial-level engineering technology center and successfully certified three university–enterprise co‑built R&D centers (Kewei Mechanical & Electrical, Shengji Hengxin, and Guanghui Energy Conservation). Two enterprises were recommended to apply for the 2018 provincial demonstration base for entrepreneurship and innovation among small and micro‑enterprises. One new innovation and entrepreneurship park was completed, and the science and technology information sharing platform registered 40 institutional users. Progress in building innovation and entrepreneurship platforms remained steady. In 2018, Zhangwan District recommended and recognized nine leading talents in science and technology entrepreneurship, nominated five municipal‑level innovation and entrepreneurship strategic teams for application, and submitted an application for one provincial‑level Class A innovation and entrepreneurship strategic team.
